Safeguarding

Here at North East Archers we follow the Archery GB Safeguarding Policies, aimed at protecting all those who partake in archery, both with us, and in the wider commununity. These policies are available within the safeguarding section of the Archery GB website.

All coaches and the safeguarding officers at North East Archers have completed Enchanced DBS checks and appropriate safeguarding training as required.

Kelly

Welfare Officer

The club welfare officer is currently Kelly, who can be contacted regarding any welfare concerns or issues. Kelly started archery in 2023, joining in after her children challenged her. After building skills with the club she has started competing in local events. Kelly currently shoots barebow and has qualified as Welfare Officer to support the club.

Club Secretary

The club secretary, David, is currently acting as the deputy welfare officer and can be contacted about any welfare concerns or issues. David has been involved in archery for nearly 20 years, starting out as a hobby and gradually progressing to competing in local events. He shoots barebow and is passionate about supporting the club and its members, helping to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
