Membership
Have you just come from a beginners course? Or the Olympics? Or somewhere in between? If so your welcome to come and shoot here at North East Archers, and have access to all our exclusive members only facilities and activities in the process.
Club membership not only contributes to North East Archers, but a number of other organisations including:
- ArcheryGB the UK governing body supporting the mission of enriching lives through archery by helping to rebuild, reimagine and represent our sport. Additionally ArcheryGB provide mandatory insurance as part of the membership fees;
- Northern Counties Archery Society (NCAS) the region the club falls into - helping to fund regional competitions, events and coaching;
- Durham and Northumberland Archery Association (DNAA) the county the club falls into - helping to fund county competitions, events and coaching; and
- North East Archers helping to purchase and renew equipment, and help with venue costs.
Benefits of membership with North East Archers
- Access to high quality coaching free of charge.
- Upon paying your annual membership fees, (due in September), you will be given a membership card for Archery GB, allowing you to shoot both at the club, and at competitions ran by other clubs. There may also be the possibility, at the host clubs discretion, to shoot at other clubs should you visit other areas of the country.
2022 / 2023 Membership Fees
NCAS and DNAA have flat yearly fees but those for Archery GB follow a pro-rata structure, with the year running from 1 October to 31 September (we’ll collect fees for next year in August and September as they must have been sent to Archery GB by October). This means you’ll pay for the remainder of the year when you do your beginners course, until the 31 September. We offer a discount for senior members who have completed a beginner’s course with us, which offers a discount on the club fee for the first year. (Please note this does not reduce the affiliation fees.)
Monthly shooting fees are used to cover venue hire, and are collected monthly for the month ahead - allowing you to just turn up and shoot on a Tuesday night!
