Have you just come from a beginners course? Or the Olympics? Or somewhere in between? If so your welcome to come and shoot here at North East Archers, and have access to all our exclusive members only facilities and activities in the process.

Club membership not only contributes to North East Archers, but a number of other organisations including:

• Archery GB is the national governing body for archery across the UK. Part of your fees goes towards essential services like your insurance, which is crucial for taking part in any archery activities. It also helps fund the Archery UK magazine, keeping you updated with all the latest news and events. Archery GB works behind the scenes to ensure the sport is safe, fair, and well-organized, offering training for coaches and judges and running national competitions;
• Northern Counties Archery Society (NCAS) oversees archery across the North of England and the Isle of Man. Your fees help fund regional competitions and championships, as well as support coaching and development programs. NCAS also works to improve communication between clubs and the national bodies, making sure the voices of archers in our region and the Isle of Man are heard and represented at the national level;
• Durham and Northumberland Archery Association (DNAA) is your county archery association. The fees here go towards organizing county competitions in target, clout, and field archery. DNAA also provides support on safeguarding, keeps track of county records, and selects teams to compete in regional and national events. They’re also there to help with any issues or questions you might have, and they’re keen to hear from clubs to keep improving what they offer; and
• North East Archers — us, your club — are committed to making sure you have everything you need to enjoy archery. Your fees help us keep our equipment up-to-date, cover venue costs, and manage the day-to-day running of the club. This includes everything from maintaining our club software and running awards schemes to organizing progress programs that help you track and celebrate your achievements. We’re all about building a strong, supportive community where archers of all levels can develop their skills, compete, and have fun.

Benefits of membership with North East Archers

• Access to high quality coaching free of charge.
• Upon paying your annual membership fees, you will be given a membership card for Archery GB, allowing you to shoot both at the club, and at competitions ran by other clubs. There may also be the possibility, at the host clubs discretion, to shoot at other clubs should you visit other areas of the country.

Membership and Renewals

Renewing or joining North East Archers is a breeze with Sport:80! The Sport:80 platform seamlessly manages all your details with Archery GB, ensuring your membership information is up-to-date and accurate, and also securely collects your Archery GB fees. Once you’ve completed your renewal or registration on Sport:80, don’t forget to fill out our club membership form to handle the separate club, county, and regional fees.

If you’re having any trouble with Sport:80, don’t worry—our club can assist by handling your registration for you. Simply complete an additional form, and we’ll take care of the rest. With both steps completed, you'll be fully registered and ready to enjoy all the fantastic benefits our club offers. We're here to support you every step of the way! 2024 / 2025 Membership Fees

We offer a discount for senior members who have completed a beginner’s course with us, which offers a discount on the club fee for the first year. (Please note this does not reduce the affiliation fees.)

Monthly shooting fees are used to cover venue hire, and are collected monthly for the month ahead - allowing you to just turn up and shoot on a Wednesday night!
